In 2006, I bought one of Marc's paintings which proudly hangs in my hallway. At the time he was still in school,
and he asked me to keep it to myself.
Marc is now ready to go public and would like to sell more of his paintings. I had some contact with him last week
and he said that he would appreciate it if I let the fans know that there will be an exhibition in July during Andre
Rieu's concerts in Maastricht.
Exposition in July
From 21 juni until. 27 augustus 2010 Marc will have paintings at the
La Lunetta Restaurant in Maastricht
Located at the Platielstraat 5, Tel nr (31-43) 3212098
Easy to find and a very easy walk from the Vrijthof where Andre's
concerts are.
Website
Marc has started a website www.marcrieu.com At this time it is only in Dutch, but Marc said he hopes to have an
English version soon. I have posted some of Marc's paintings on this page, on his website you can see many

Harmony
That Harmony is a magic word for the Rieu family should by now be clear. While father Andre travels around the
world making the world more harmonious with his music, son Marc captures harmony with brush on canvas.
Like the Romanticists Marc likes to breathe life into his landscapes, works with profound colors and mystical
atmospheres. His "evocative illusions" need to be experienced. "Good art moves you, regardless of the
background of the artist". "Switch of your mind, look with your heart and enjoy what you see!"

Future
“Yesterday was history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift – that’s why we call it the present!” I just
love this saying". ''I really do not know what the future will bring for me, but I hope that I will be able to paint often.
Besides that I hope I will be able to share what I make with many people.''
I would like to take you into my dream world, into my fantasies, translated on the white canvas with oil or acryl paint.

Who am I
My name is Marc Rieu and I was born on November 1, 1978 in one of the most beautiful cities of the
Netherlands....Maastricht!
My passion for painting arose in the Vincent van Gogh year, 1990. It was in connection of a extremely fascinating
television documentary, shown during the last year of my primary school. After that I only had one wish: after my
secondary school, I would love to study art history at the university. (translation from Marc's website)

I would like to introduce you to my
son Marc.
